What's Going Around is a graphicalrepresentation of particular illness/syndromes trending acrossNorthShore University HealthSystem in Chicago’s northern suburbsthat is updated daily. Users can track syndromes such as strepthroat and flu-like illness and see where cases are most prevalent.Based on daily patient data collected across our health caresystem, a geospatial heat map is generated for each syndrome thatcorresponds to the fraction of patients presenting that arepositive (prevalence) for the syndrome of interest at a particulargeographic location. Using historical data, the current prevalencecan also be equated to an overall High, Medium, or Low for theentire region.Currently tracking the following conditions...1. Flu-Like Illness (Febrile Respiratory Illness)2. Strep Throat3. Whooping Cough (Pertussis)4. Pediatric Asthma5.
